DESCRIPTION:CCA Trees & Greenspace Committee and Plenary\, Agenda\, WEDS. 12 Aug 2020\n19:00 h.\nOpen air meeting in Dundonald Park\, on west side \n\nNew business \n\n\n\nPlastics Sub-Committee\, Status report on activity since July 14. Stuart Kinmond\, Chair. \nDundonald Gardening Group\, Status report since July 14\, Acting Lead Gardener Barbara Sibbald – grant funding obtained\, free support from the master gardening association\,\nStatus report on CCA Planning Committee\, Meeting for August cancelled. Main ongoing activity through July and August is the Heritage Working Group\n\n\n\n\nCCA Heritage Working Group\, inaugural meeting July 9\, Brian Beaven\, Chief liaison for Trees and Greenspace Committee and\, since July 9\, head of the West of Kent sub-group of the Heritage Working Group.  The West of Kent Sub-group has met twice and is scheduled to meet again late in August. Still not too late to volunteer for a sub-working Group.\n\nFall Festival/Earth Day in Dundonald Park\, Sept 19. Status report since July 14\, Brian Beaven\, Tong has confirmed participation of CCHC\, Ottawa Police\, City of Ottawa Art Gallery and Ottawa Public Library.\nOn the CCA side\, Brian is proposing the following commitments 1. T&G Committee table (? and ?)\,  2. Pollinator Presentation (Gail and ?)\, 3. Dundonald Gardening Group (Barbara)\,  4. Plastics Sub-committee (Stuart Kinmond)\, 5. new Centretown Heritage Sub-Group (Jack Hanna\, and Brian Beaven (my preferred location but I will fill in where needed most)\, 6. CCA Board (Shawn? and Stuart MacKay and ? ) and the popcorn machine (Alice and Richard) Please help me fill in the ?\nThe City\, through Office of the Councillor\, has confirmed that we can apply for a permit for the park for Sept 19 (rain date Sept 20). Alice will take the lead on this with Brian and Tong consulting on final submission\nDundonald Improvement Group\, ad hoc working group with probable affiliation with CCA through Trees and Greenspace Committee\, Stuart Kinmond\, convener.\nNext Meeting\, Sept 8\, 2020 (day after Labour day) If this date is not good\, please indicate this to the Chair whether you attend the meeting of Aug 12th or not. Open air meeting unless there is preference for Zoom format.\nThe Chair is asking for concrete input on the issue of venue for future meetings after October. We need clear indication by each T&G member of whether they prefer zoom meetings or an indoor venue where we can have face to face meetings with social distancing.\nAdjournment \n\n\n\n\nTweet\n
